Chin Gee specializes in the field of electronics, particularly in semiconductor devices and fabrication, circuit designs, electro-mechanical systems, and consumer devices. His experience includes:

• preparation and prosecution of patent applications;
  
  
• performing searches and advising on patentability of invention disclosures;
  
  
• conducting patent reviews for licensing activities; and
  
  
• providing advice on patenting strategies and freedom to operate opinions.

Chin Gee graduated from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) (Honours).  His final year project investigated the effects of fiber optics splicing, which won an exhibit prize at the inter-faculty exhibition.

After graduating in 2004, he began his career in the field of patent law as a trainee at a local IP firm.  In 2007, he took part in an overseas joint-internship involving a large semiconductor chip manufacturer and a leading IP firm in Silicon Valley California (US), where he learned about US patent law and successfully completed the US Patent Attorney/Agent Registration Examination.  After completing the overseas internship, Chin Gee returned to Singapore and joined Amica Law LLC in early 2010.
