Gwendolene is an Associate Director at Amica Law LLC. She is actively involved in the non-contentious and contentious aspects of intellectual property management and protection. Her areas of expertise include:

• Filing and prosecution of trade marks and designs

• Conducting trade mark and design searches

• Managing clients’ trade mark and design portfolios in Singapore and worldwide, including maintenance and renewal of trade mark and design registrations

• Handling contentious trade mark opposition, revocation and invalidation actions

• Advising clients on IP protection and exploitation strategies

She has assisted a diverse range of local and international clients in the automobile, chemicals, construction, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, food and beverage, health, hotel & hospitality, information technology, infrastructure, jewellery, marine, real estate, retail, petroleum and tobacco industries.

Gwendolene also has experience in corporate intellectual property matters, such as the drafting and review of contracts covering licensing, franchising, assignments and other transactional aspects of intellectual property, as well as corporate contracts such as employment, distributorship, sales and services agreements. She also has experience in due diligence review pertaining to IP rights and technology agreements, as well as the drafting and review of information technology policies.

 

In the early part of her legal career, Gwendolene was involved in IP litigation work, including anti-piracy enforcement matters and advising clients on infringement issues.

 

A Bachelor of Laws (Hons) graduate from King’s College, London, Gwendolene was called to the Singapore Bar in 2002
